Man Arrested After Shooting in 2200 Block of Roosevelt Blvd


EUGENE, Or. - At 9:08 p.m. on March 4, a man opened the door to a residence in the 2200 block of Roosevelt Blvd demanding to see his wife, who was not there. 


The resident, later identified as Travis Scott Parker, age 52, was armed and chased the 62-year-old intruder away. The man retreated but continued to yell for his wife. He eventually walked away to a bus stop, but Parker followed him and the two continued a verbal altercation. 

The victim is reported to have punched Parker,
knocking him to the ground, with Parker subsequently shooting the victim. A bystander intervened and was able to get the gun from Parker. The two involved men did not know each other.  

Eugene Police and Eugene Springfield Fire responded. ESF transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Eugene Police transported Parker to Lane County Jail, where he was lodged on charges including Assault in the First Degree and Unlawful Use Weapon. Case 24-03280
