Springfield Police Blotter for March 27-29, 2013. This is a sampling of police activity that occurred in Springfield during that time period, and not representative of all activity that occurred.
Saturday, March 30
1:00 a.m. – A male subject in a wheelchair hit his wife in the parking lot of Mohawk Tavern in the 1500 block of Mohawk Blvd. The male subject appeared to be intoxicated and loaded his wheelchair into his vehicle.
6:31 a.m. – A security guard at McKenzie-Willamette Hospital observed a vehicle in the parking lot that had its gas cap hanging off and suspected gas may have been siphoned. The registered owner was contacted later, and no gas was taken.
9:06 a.m. – Two male subjects stole nearly $400 worth of DeWalt drills from WilCo in the 1400 block of 21st St.
11:39 a.m. – Syringes were found at S. 38th St. and Gem Ave. A waste products disposal company was called to pick up the syringes.
1:04 p.m. – A resident in the 2300 block of 31st St. reported having sold something on Craigslist, and the 34-year-old male subject who purchased the merchandise was upset, coming to the caller’s house and saying he “would get my money back one way or another.” The caller felt threatened and wanted this incident documented.
2:00 p.m. – A resident of an apartment complex in the 100 block of 18th St. reported a female subject was sleeping in the laundry room. Police arrested Bronte Ammerman, 37, on a Tillamook County warrant.
3:31 p.m. – A resident in the 100 block of S. 67th St. reported her son had told her he saw some paraphernalia at a neighbor’s house, and the neighbor got angry and has been escalating his behavior as the caller confronted him over what her son had seen. The neighbor had told the caller the children were not allowed to play outside at all, then accused her son of peeking into his daughter’s window late at night despite the fact the caller’s son does not go outside at night. The caller reported her neighbor threatened to blow her head off if she set foot outside. She told police she will call back if the neighbor steps onto her property again.
3:58 p.m. – Peter Lacsina, 35, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine in the 100 block of Hayden Bridge Way.
8:21 p.m. – A Ford truck had its driver side window broken out at Fred Meyer in the 600 block of Q St.
10:37 p.m. – A male and female were smoking marijuana outside the entrance to a business in the 1600 block of 18th St. The caller had previously asked the female subject to leave the location. The female subject, who had white face paint on the edges of her face, and the male walked towards McDonald’s. Police contacted the 44-year-old female subject and advised she has been trespassed from the business.
11:08 p.m. – A police officer was flagged down in the 1100 block of Mohawk Blvd. by a citizen who reported a yellow sports car with a subject throwing eggs.
11:24 p.m. – A caller at Chevron in the 1100 block of Mohawk Blvd. reported overhearing a male asking a female if she had a crack pipe. Police contacted a 46-year-old male subject, and he did not have a crack pipe.

Sunday, March 31
12:34 a.m. – A resident in the 200 block of 44th St. reported three subjects jumped a fence to the house, then ran towards Main St. The subjects then came out of a neighbor’s garage and a female subject was in front of some bushes. Police arrested Matthew Cadena, 26 and Justin Bailey, 28 on charges of trespass. Police cited Katherine Krahl, 26, and Katrina Terry, 22 on trespassing charges.
2:27 a.m. – A resident in the 4000 block of Southway Loop reported hearing a female neighbor screaming and things being slammed around. It turned out a female celebrating her 21st birthday and her boyfriend were arguing and very intoxicated. They agreed to leave each other alone for the remainder of the night.
2:52 a.m. – A resident in the Driftwood Villa Condominiums in the 2700 block of Gateway St. reported hearing two gunshots in the area. A minute later, Gateway Mall security reported the same thing.

3:40 a.m. – Gerald Poundstone, 34, was arrested on suspicion of DUII in the 1500 block of Mohawk Blvd.
6:25 a.m. – A large white Pit Bull was running in traffic on I-105 near the Mohawk Blvd. exit.
10:02 a.m. – A white Pit Bull was running in the roadway of 28th St. near G St.
10:08 a.m. – A resident in the 1900 block of 2nd St. reported a black 1994 Saturn stolen. The keys were accounted for, the gas gauge doesn’t work and it has a Billy Graham sticker on the back.
10:29 a.m. – Someone smeared paint on the exterior wall of Everyone’s Market in the 1100 block of 5th St. to read “You are next” with a pair of handprints under the words.
10:48 a.m. – A caller reported a male known as “Bear” and a female were engaged in a heated dispute at a residence in the 2000 block of L St., which had previously been identified by police as a suspected drug house.
2:20 a.m. – A caller reported a male subject punched his dog in the face with a closed fist in the 5800 block of Main St.
3:33 p.m. – Two subjects stole a Soda Stream soda maker valued at $79 from Wal-Mart in the 2600 block of Olympic St. One subject was a white male in his early 50s, 5’10” – 6’ tall with a thin build, grey hair and wearing sunglasses. The other subject was a white female in her late 30s – early 40s, 5’7” with a heavy build, dark brown hair and wearing a grey shirt. They left the parking lot in a green 2000 Dodge Caravan.
4:59 p.m. – Two sets of bloody handprints were found on the driveway and front porch of a residence in the 400 block of 7th St.
6:43 p.m. – A resident in the 100 block of S. 67th St. reported her neighbor was outside yelling at her children and threatening to slit their throats. The caller said this was an ongoing issue because he does not like her children.
6:56 p.m. – A television was reported to be pulled off the brackets in a room at Village Inn in the 1800 block of Mohawk Blvd. The burglar also wrote “F the Cops” on the mirror with an unknown item.
