Man Brandishing Airsoft Gun Arrested





Eugene, Ore. - At 2:11 p.m. on September 25th, Eugene Police responded to a report of a man waving a weapon around and pointing it at passing cars near West 11th Avenue and Garfield Street. 

Upon arriving, officers found Jacob Chaffee, age 25, with a realistic looking Airsoft style gun. When approached by officers, Chaffee dropped the gun and began to walk away before being detained. Officers found knives in a nearby mailbox that had been damaged by Chaffee.

 Chaffee was arrested and transported to Lane County Jail on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Mischief.
