Double Fatal Douglas County Crash Claims Cottage Grove Woman's Life

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. 31 Jan. 2023 – On Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2024, at 1:22 p.m., Oregon State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Hwy. 42 near milepost 75 in Douglas County.  The preliminary investigation indicated a Freightliner tanker truck was pulling into the center turn lane to merge onto Hwy. 42 to travel eastbound. A Jeep Liberty, operated by Bronwyn Gnagy (19) of Winston, was traveling eastbound and abruptly stopped in the left lane as the tanker merged into the center turn lane. A bunked Mack log truck, operated by Christopher P. Morgan (28) of Roseburg, was traveling behind the Jeep Liberty. The log truck operator braked; however, was unable to stop in time and struck the Jeep Liberty from behind. The Jeep Liberty sustained heavy rear end damage.  Two passengers in the Jeep Liberty, Tabitha M. Fatal Junction City Crash Claims Eugene Woman's Life

 LANE COUNTY, Ore. 31 Jan. 2023 – On Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at 3:49 p.m., Oregon State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Hwy 99W, near milepost 109, in Lane County.    The preliminary investigation indicated a northbound Mitsubishi Montero, operated by Kimberly Michelle Pratt (33) of Eugene, left the roadway on the west side of the highway for unknown reasons. The vehicle rolled onto its top and stopped off the roadway in a residential driveway.   The operator (Pratt) was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was declared deceased at the scene. LCSO Case #24-0423 -- Shooting in N. Park Avenue Area

Eugene, Or. - Detectives from the Lane County Sheriff's Office arrested the second shooter in this case without incident, identified as Ty Houston Pflieger , 18, of Eugene. He was lodged at the Lane County Jail on charges of Attempted Assault 1 and Unlawful Use of a Weapon, both Felonies. Not only was this shooting brazen, involving a stranger in broad daylight, nearly 20 rounds were fired in a dense neighborhood. The victim was nearly struck, and at least one round entered through a child’s bedroom window and struck an interior wall. The Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Oregon State Police and Eugene Police Department for their assistance, and especially the many residents who reached out with information to help us quickly solve this case. -- 1/27/24 – LCSO Case #24-0423 – Shooting in N. Park Avenue Area On Saturday morning around 7 AM, two young males opened fire with handguns at a passerby in a vehicle who asked them to move out of the roadway in the area of N
