Springfield Police Blotter With Mugshots Feb. 24-25


Springfield Police Blotter for Feb. 22-23, 2013. This is a sampling of police activity that occurred in Springfield during that time period, and not representative of all activity that occurred.
Sunday, Feb. 24
12:19 a.m. – A male and female were engaged in a verbal dispute in the 400 block of S. 37th St. Police spoke to a 37-year-old male and a 26-year-old female about the noise and advised the male he will be arrested if they return to the location.
12:22 a.m. – A resident in the 5700 block of Kalmia Lane reported hearing yelling and pounding at a nearby residence, but was unsure of it was a party or a dispute. Police arrived at the location a few minutes later, and everything was fine, and a small child was watching Batman.
2:17 a.m. – Robert Belanger, 37, was arrested on a charge of DUII at 13th St. and Centennial Blvd.
7:26 a.m. – A resident in the 200 block of 12th St. reported finding his bedroom window shattered, and it had been ransacked. A report was taken.
11:47 a.m. – Someone tendered a counterfeit $100 bill at the Albertson’s gas station in the 5700 block of Main St.
12:01 p.m. – A call was taken concerning a possible drunk driver on I-105. Police stopped a vehicle driving westbound just before the exit to Pioneer Parkway, and spoke to a female subject. The subject told police she was not drunk but had drank earlier that day, and taken medication for anxiety. Police arrested Melvina Wagner, 55, on suspicion of DUII.
3:11 p.m. – A caller in the area of 6thSt. and Northridge Ave. reported two male transients were urinating on a fence and possibly drinking alcohol near a bike path.

3:23 p.m. – An employee of Target in the 2700 block of Gateway St. reported a male subject and female subject were in the store. The female subject left an empty DVD case, and is suspected of stealing a DVD. Police contacted the two subjects at the bicycle cage outside the store, and arrested Tara Rowe, 35, and Jesse Rowe, 33, on theft charges.
4:45 p.m. – An employee of Rite Aid in the 2100 block of Marcola Rd. reported a female subject left the store with some stolen cosmetics, setting off the alarm at the front door. She took off with two male subjects in a four-door 1999 green Saturn. The female subject was described as white, in her late-30s, thin build and black hair. She was wearing a black jacket, jeans and carried a large purse.
4:51 p.m. – A caller reported a number of subjects were inside of a residence that is supposed to be vacant, as the residents had been evicted on Feb. 21. The previous tenants were at the residence and brought several people with them, ripping the “No Trespassing” sign off the door as they went in. Several bikes were also parked on the porch.
5:09 p.m. – A baggie with a clear, crystal-like substance was found at the front of the St. Vincent De Paul thrift store in the 100 block of Q St.
7:56 p.m. – Michelle Pinheiro, 29, was arrested for hit and run in the 1000 block of 10th St.
9:09 p.m. – An employee of Fast Track Pizza in the 3100 block of Gateway St. reported a male subject stole the tip jar. A 32-year-old suspect was identified and a report was taken.
10:08 p.m. – Ira Bastian, 27, was arrested on a warrant for first-degree burglary in the 100 block of S. 14th St.

11:00 p.m. – Police located the suspect from the 9:09 p.m. incident listed above, and arrested Leland Hitt, 32, on a theft charge.

Monday Feb. 25
12:57 a.m. – Dustin Cassity, 29, on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine at 32nd and Main Streets.
2:26 a.m. – Cheree Weil, 22, was cited for driving while suspended at 10thand Main Streets.
3:19 a.m. – Jesse Hall, 35 was cited for driving while suspended in the area of Centennial Blvd. and 12th St.
2:42 p.m. – A male known as “Bear” at a location in the 2000 block of L St. reported a female subject who is an unofficial “care provider” had stolen money from him while he was in prison. The amount of money was reported to be $26,000, and the address given has previously been identified by police as a suspected drug house.
5:26 p.m. – A resident in the 5200 block of Cynthia Ct. reported a nearby residence that has been unoccupied after the owner had passed away now has 3-4 transients inside. They had been throwing trash into the yard and the windows had been broken out. Police checked the area and did not find the suspected transients.

6:20 p.m. – Two females had gotten into a physical fight at a sober living center in the 600 block of Fairview Dr. Jacquelin Carlsen, 29, was arrested and lodged in Lane County Jail.
10:44 p.m. – Timothy Scott, 34, was arrested on warrants for identity theft and possession of methamphetamine.
11:18 p.m. – Julie Sullivan, 34, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine in the 100 block of 30th St.
