Springfield Police Blotter for Mar. 15-16, 2013. This is a sampling of police activity that occurred in Springfield during that time period, and not representative of all activity that occurred.

Sunday, Mar. 17
12:35 a.m. – A resident in the 100 block of E St. knocked on the door of neighbors who were having a party with loud music, but no one answered the door. Police came out and advised the residents concerning the noise.
12:57 a.m. – Police made contact with a group of six subjects in the area of 23rd and A Streets. William Hoyt, 41, was arrested on a warrant for unauthorized possession of a controlled substance.
2:55 a.m. – Dustin Dedrickson, 31, was cited for driving while suspended at S. 15th and S. A Streets.
3:03 a.m. – Two separate callers reported a suspected intoxicated driver at I-105 and 42nd St. While getting off the freeway, the suspect vehicle hit the guardrail on the off-ramp. The suspect vehicle drove to a residence in the 300 block of 49th St. Police responded to the residence and arrested Mashonna Dorry, 21, on a charge of DUII.
8:04 a.m. – A residence in the 700 block of 52nd St. was egged. The resident reported this also happened about two weeks ago.

8:52 a.m. – Police served three warrants at Gateway St. and Kruse Way. Alan LaBrasseur, 31, was arrested on a Coos Bay warrant for delivery and possession of methamphetamine, and for delivery and possession of heroin. Jennifer Copeland, 23, was arrested on a warrant for endangering the welfare of a minor and a new charge of driving while suspended. Ashley Peters, 20, was arrested on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine.
11:22 a.m. – Shawn Koenig, 29, was arrested for driving while suspended at 23rd and Main Streets.

11:38 a.m. – An employee of Kohl’s in the 2900 block of Gateway St. reported a male and female had shoplifted a watch, and walked towards the food court of Gateway Mall. The male subject went into the bathroom and left the packaging of the watch behind. The female subject waited outside in front of Movies 12. The subjects then walked towards the EmX station. Police responded to the location and cited Barry Schneider, 39, in lieu of custody on a charge of third-degree theft. He was not transported to jail because he had a weeping, oozing MRSA sore on his chest. Tatum Leclere, 26, was also cited on a theft charge.
12:27 p.m. – Shawna Baimbridge-Schmidt, 41, was cited for driving while suspended at 5th and G Streets.
1:52 p.m. – A caller reported seeing two subjects leave Safeway in the 1800 block of Pioneer Parkway having stolen some drinks. The caller followed them on foot to Fred Meyer on Q St. Police made contact with the two subjects, and arrested Jennifer Fox, 37, on warrants for theft, and a new charge of theft.

3:08 p.m. – A yellow and white truck was reported to have stopped at 5th and Q Streets, and when the vehicle stopped, a vodka bottle and the male driver fell out of the vehicle. The male subject was lying on the ground for a while, then got up, staggered back to his truck and drove off. The caller followed the vehicle eastbound on Q St., which turned left on 15th St., almost hitting a wall on the way to the address he stopped at in the 1900 block. When police arrived, one male subject was lying on the ground and the other male subject was inside the cab of the truck. John Oldham, 51, was arrested on a charge of DUII, and Daniel Wellman, 47, was taken to Buckley House in Eugene for detoxification.

4:22 p.m. – William Eli, 45, was arrested on a warrant in the 3300 block of Gateway St.
4:52 p.m. – Timothy Gagliasso, 40, was arrested on a charge of theft at Wal-Mart in the 2600 block of Olympic St. He was suspected of stealing dog food.
8:38 p.m. – An aluminum baseball bat with blood on the top of it was found in a dumpster in an apartment complex in the 1500 block of Q St.
9:48 p.m. – A male subject was walking around the parking lot of Bi-Mart in the 5700 block of Main St. who smelled strongly of alcohol. He was standing in front of vehicles yelling at them to move because a helicopter was going to land there.

Monday, Mar. 18
12:26 a.m. – A resident in the 600 block of S. 41st Ct. reported an adjoining duplex was making a lot of noise, with this being the third day in a row. Police responded to the location and cited Cody Freeman, 20; and William Smolak, 22, for furnishing liquor to a minor. Cachet Kirby, 19, and a 16-year-old male subject were cited for minors in possession.
4:45 a.m. – A resident in the area of 65th and A Streets reported seeing two subjects “tweeking” and appeared to be casing residents in the area. One subject was described as a smaller guy riding a bike, wearing a red shirt over white. The second subject was described as taller and “skinhead looking.”
8:02 a.m. – Brandon Fuson, 27, was cited for driving while suspended at 51st and F Streets.
9:59 a.m – Marcos Saucedo Jr., 19, was cited for driving while suspended at I-105 and Pioneer Parkway.

12:05 p.m. – A caller in the 1400 block of Piedmont St. reported her 37-year-old son and his 24-year-old girlfriend had been fighting all morning. The caller also said she was briefly involved. The caller described her son as a “druggy.” The son, at one point, came downstairs and pushed his mother. The caller said she wanted to talk to police about eviction process and restraining orders. Police arrested April Hanson, 24, on warrants for failure to appear and possession of methamphetamine.
12:46 p.m. – A cow was out in the road near a residence in the 4300 block of Smith Way,
12:55 p.m. – Dustin Dedrickson, 31, was cited for driving while suspended in the 4400 block of Daisy St.

1:49 p.m. – Jordan Carter, 23, was cited for driving while suspended at 42ndand Main Streets.
2:06 p.m. – A male subject was running down 28th St. after leaving the Wal-Mart in the 2600 block of Olympic St. he then ran west on Centennial Blvd. The caller jumped a nearby fence and ditched a backpack, but was wearing the jeans he had allegedly stolen. Police located Dennis Lowden, 37, in a shed in the 2600 block of J St, and arrested him on charges of theft and criminal mischief.
4:37 p.m. – A resident in the 3200 block of Aster St. reported a male neighbor jumped over the fence and into her backyard and stole several cigarettes. This was the third time she has caught the male subject doing this, and wanted to press charges. A report was taken.
7:43 p.m. – A resident of an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Gateway St. reported a neighbor has been smoking marijuana in an adjoining apartment since December 2012 and the smell wafts into her apartment. She added the smell is sometimes so strong, it wakes her up at night.
8:17 p.m. – An employee of the Fred Meyer Fuel Center in the 600 block of Q St. reported a male subject was walking into the roadway, dancing, spitting and yelling. The subject was yelling random words and screaming, and store employees were afraid to approach the subject. Police contacted Miguel Gutierrez, 29, a short distance away, and arrested him on a charge of disorderly conduct. Gutierrez banged his head against the window while being transported to Springfield Municipal Jail.

11:31 p.m. – Two subjects were reported to be screaming and slamming against the walls of a residence in the 1600 block of G St. Police responded and arrested Ira Bastian.
