Springfield Man Guilty of Child Sex Crimes, Sentenced to Measure 11 Term Until 2045

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Ryder Dean Waddington, a 31-year-old male, was found guilty on four felony charges following his arrest by the Springfield Police Department on April 3, 2025.

Waddington was convicted of four counts of first-degree sex abuse, under case number 25CR58164. The charges stem from incidents that led to his initial booking into Lane County Jail around 9 p.m. PDT on April 3.
Following his conviction, Waddington was transferred to Coffee Creek Correctional Facility for intake processing. After intake, he will be transferred to an all-male prison.
As a Measure 11 offense, Waddington’s uncalculated end-of-sentence date is October 30, 2045, which does not include credit for time served in county lockup. Once calculated, he will serve the full sentence day-for-day, minus any time served in county lockup prior to sentencing.
