Hendricks Pleads Guilty to Online Child Sex Crimes, Sentenced to 30 Days in Jail



Eugene, Ore. — Today, Frank Dylan Hendricks pleaded guilty to Online Sexual Corruption of a Child in the Second Degree (ORS 163.432, Felony Class C) and Luring a Minor (ORS 167.057, Felony Class C). As part of the plea agreement, the Measure 11 charge of Using a Child in a Display of Sexually Explicit Conduct (ORS 163.670, Felony Class A) was dismissed.
Hendricks was sentenced to 30 days in jail and three years of probation on each of the two counts, with the sentences to run concurrently. According to jail records, after credit for time served, his sentence end date is April 24, 2026. He was placed into the Lane County Jail today to begin serving his sentence.
The case originated in May 2025 when the Lane County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) launched an investigation into an adult male communicating with a minor online. The probe revealed that Hendricks, then 39, had engaged in illicit sexual conduct with the child over the internet.
On June 25, 2025, LCSO deputies, assisted by the Cottage Grove Police Department, served a search warrant at a residence in the 2300 block of East Main Street in Cottage Grove. Hendricks was contacted and arrested on multiple charges. The District Attorney, at the time, filed on the following charges:
Hendricks was lodged at the Lane County Jail following court today.
The Cottage Grove Police Department, a member of the Lane County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, assisted in the operation. The arrest was part of ongoing collaborative efforts by local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to combat online child exploitation and protect vulnerable members of the community.
Authorities continue to emphasize the importance of the Lane County ICAC Task Force and inter-agency cooperation in these investigations.
