BREAKING NEWS: Veneta Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Oregon State Police (OSP) are investigating a Monday evening fatal motorcycle crash in the Veneta area that resulted in the death of an adult male. The victim's name and other information not provided in this preliminary release will be updated Tuesday. 

On May 12, 2014 at approximately 6:20 p.m., OSP was notified of a motorcycle crash in the area of Bolton Hill Road and 8th Street in Veneta. The crash resulted in the death of a 29-year old adult male. 

OSP troopers from the Springfield and Florence offices are investigating at the scene. Next of kin notification is pending.

Suspect Charged with Murder in 590 E. Broadway Shooting

Eugene, Ore. - At 2:39 a.m. September 2, Eugene Police responded to a report of a shooting at 590 E. Broadway. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and the suspect left the location in a vehicle and is no longer in the area. Homicide in Mapleton

Mapleton, Ore. - Today the Lane County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a possible homicide in the 9400 block of Hwy 126W.  ***UPDATE: Marsha Quesnell's case for murder is now pending due to fitness to proceed. In other words, the court has deemed her unable to help in her own defense due to mental illness or defect, at this time.*** The caller, Marsha Quesnell advised she had killed her mother Mona Tittle. When deputies arrived Marsha cooperated and was taken into custody without incident. Mona was located by deputies deceased inside the residence.
