Body Found in Blue River Reservoir Identified



Blue River, Ore. - The body found in Blue River Reservoir on Saturday has been identified as that of 40-year-old Mekenna Christine Reiley of Blue River. 

 A post-mortem examination conducted by the Oregon State Medical Examiner has revealed that Reiley died as a result of drowning.  There are no indications of foul play. 

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate any leads related to her disappearance.

Suspect Charged with Murder in 590 E. Broadway Shooting

Eugene, Ore. - At 2:39 a.m. September 2, Eugene Police responded to a report of a shooting at 590 E. Broadway. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and the suspect left the location in a vehicle and is no longer in the area. Homicide in Mapleton

Mapleton, Ore. - Today the Lane County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a possible homicide in the 9400 block of Hwy 126W.  ***UPDATE: Marsha Quesnell's case for murder is now pending due to fitness to proceed. In other words, the court has deemed her unable to help in her own defense due to mental illness or defect, at this time.*** The caller, Marsha Quesnell advised she had killed her mother Mona Tittle. When deputies arrived Marsha cooperated and was taken into custody without incident. Mona was located by deputies deceased inside the residence.
