Out-of-Control W.11th Driver Incident Ends in Crash and DUII



Eugene, Or. - At 8:31 a.m. on August 16, Eugene Police was dispatched to locate a possibly intoxicated driver. 

A white BMW SUV X3 was reported to have been doing ‘donuts in the intersection of W. 11th and Beltline and subsequently crashed into a light pole and was leaking fluids on the south side of W. 11th near the LTD bus stop.

Medics were requested and the driver, John Michael Pierce, age 35, of Eugene, was transported to a local hospital. Police officers found drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Pierce was charged with DUII and Reckless Driving.
