Police Activity on N. Delta Hwy




Eugene, Ore. - Around 12:27 p.m. on July 2, Eugene Police assisted Oregon State Police, when a suspect entered Eugene city limits.

 A Eugene Police officer spotted the suspect on Gilham Road driving at a high rate of speed but lost sight of the vehicle as it approached Ayers Road. Another EPD officer subsequently saw the suspect vehicle going north on N. Delta Hwy. It had stopped in the dead-end parking lot for River Bend Materials (rock quarry), 3935 N .Delta Hwy. 

The suspect climbed the fence and ran into the brush. Eugene Police K9 team of Officer Travis Palki and Jax quickly tracked the suspect to a thicket of berry bushes, where he was hiding.

 Oregon State Police took custody of the suspect and his vehicle. Please contact OSP for further info on the suspect and charges, as this is their case and EPD was assisting.
