Stolen Vehicle Eluding Police Ends in Arrest After Wrong Way on I-105

Eugene, Ore. - At 1:57 p.m. on November 14, a Toyota Corolla was noted to be in a parking lot at Green Acres near Delta Hwy. Occupants appeared to be driving slowly and looking into vehicles.

The vehicle was a confirmed stolen vehicle out of Salem. A traffic stop was attempted around 2:15 p.m., but the vehicle eluded and was noted to have a flat tire. The vehicle turned to go the wrong way on I-105 (eastbound in the westbound lanes).

The male driver has threatened to jump off the bridge that was directly over 5th Street and has been standing on a ledge.

The driver has been taken into custody and Eugene Police is working on returning the normal traffic flows. 23-17214
