Pleasant Hill Registered Sex Offender Faces 27 New Charges in Vancouver Juvenile Exploitation Case
Vancouver, Wash. - Vancouver Police Department detectives arrested 38-year-old Samuel David Sohlman, a registered sex offender from Pleasant Hill, Oregon, after an investigation revealed he had allegedly been communicating with and exploiting a juvenile in Vancouver. Prior Convictions Sohlman has a documented criminal history in Oregon. In 2011, he pleaded guilty in Multnomah County to Sex Abuse in the Second Degree , a felony. In 2021, he pleaded guilty in Lane County to Sodomy in the Third Degree (felony) and Purchasing Sex with a Minor (1st offense, felony). The latest investigation began after someone close to the victim reported concerning messages between the teen and an adult male. Officers collaborated with detectives from the Special Investigations Unit, Children’s Justice Center, and Digital Evidence Cybercrime Unit.
