Saturday, May 18 1:14 a.m. – Two female subjects, suspected to be intoxicated, beat up on a pickup truck, wrecked a BBQ and ripped up a rosebush at a residence in the 600 block of 10 th  St. 3:07 a.m. – A caller in the 500 block of Harlow Rd. reported hearing sounds consisted with an attempted vehicle break-in. The caller refused to look outside, and told the 9-1-1 dispatcher, “You people just need to do your job.” 4:46 a.m. – A resident in the 2000 block of L St. reported a male subject threw something at her second-story window. She said the subject had been texting and calling her all day and had asked him not to. She said she had over 1,000 messages from the subject.  This is a sampling of police activity that occurred in Springfield during that time period, and not representative of all activity that occurred. Monday, May 6 3:18 a.m. – A resident in the 1200 block of E St. said she was in the bathroom and heard what sounded like someone jumped over her fence. Police showed up a few minutes later and found no one in her yard or in the immediate area. 6:41 a.m. – A bicycle was stolen from a residence in Monta Loma Mobile Home Park in the 2100 block of Laura St. 8:45 a.m. – A rock was thrown through the window of a Dodge Caravan parked in the 1100 block of 4 th St. 8:56 a.m. – A resident in the 600 block of Cloverleaf Loop said he let a male subject stay at his residence for the past four days, but wanted him to leave. He gave the subject a key to his house, however. The subject refused to give the key back when asked for it. Friday, April 26 12:08 a.m. – John Barrett, 49, was arrested on a warrant for identity theft at 42 nd  and Olympic Streets. 12:31 a.m. – A caller reported a group of loud subjects in the parking lot of Motel 6 in the 3700 block of International Ct. were drinking. Police contacted a subject who was returning a key to the office but did not locate the group. The vehicle was parked at Goodfellas Tavern in the 100 block of S. 14 th  St. One of the male subjects had a couple of sticks in his hand.
