Sheriff's Office Seeks Assault Suspect





Eugene, Ore. - On July 6th Lane County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the report of an assault in a wooded area near the 5300blk of Franklin Blvd.  

53-year-old Matthew Lawrence Kubal reportedly struck two different people in the head with rocks before fleeing the scene on a bicycle. Both victims were transported to an area hospital and treated for head injuries. 

Kubal is described as a white male adult with brown hair and brown eyes.  He stands approximately 5’07” and weighs approximately 180lbs. Kubal’s whereabouts are currently unknown and he is believed to be transient.

Suspect Charged with Murder in 590 E. Broadway Shooting

Eugene, Ore. - At 2:39 a.m. September 2, Eugene Police responded to a report of a shooting at 590 E. Broadway. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and the suspect left the location in a vehicle and is no longer in the area. Homicide in Mapleton

Mapleton, Ore. - Today the Lane County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a possible homicide in the 9400 block of Hwy 126W.  ***UPDATE: Marsha Quesnell's case for murder is now pending due to fitness to proceed. In other words, the court has deemed her unable to help in her own defense due to mental illness or defect, at this time.*** The caller, Marsha Quesnell advised she had killed her mother Mona Tittle. When deputies arrived Marsha cooperated and was taken into custody without incident. Mona was located by deputies deceased inside the residence.
