Springfield Police Blotter for May 21-22, 2013. This is a sampling of police activity that occurred in Springfield during that time period, and not representative of all activity that occurred.

Tuesday, May 21

12:26 a.m. – A caller told police her boyfriend was intoxicated and locked himself in her car parked at Wal-Mart in the 2600 block of Olympic St., which they had been living in. The situation was resolved.

12:36 a.m. – An officer spotted a vehicle reported stolen out of Tualatin, OR near 28^th St. and Centennial Blvd. The vehicle pulled into the parking lot of Crossfire Church, and police arrested Marcus Crowe, 27 on charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, unauthorized use of a vehicle and unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

2:23 a.m. – A caller observed a female subject beating up a male in the 500 block of 14^th St. The subject was yelling that the male had slept with her sister. The male then grabbed the female, who was pregnant, by her neck. Police arrested Nicoles Baker, 25, on a warrant for contempt of court, non-support and a new charge of felony fourth-degree assault.

5:44 a.m. – A transient male subject was down on the ground near Pioneer Parkway W and S. A St., and requesting medical attention. The 53-year-old male subject was transported to a detoxification facility in Eugene.

9:31 a.m. – A female subject with no shoes on walked onto the property of Thurston High School, and a nearby church. The caller mentioned the subject had hair with blonde ends and black roots. Police contacted Jennifer Jones, 28, a few blocks away and arrested her on warrants for theft and criminal trespass.

10:16 a.m. – A female subject was found unresponsive on the bathroom floor of the Springfield Library in the 200 block of 5^th St. The caller was unsure as to whether or not the subject was conscious, because she was locked in the stall. Medics came out a few minutes later, and the subject denied having used heroin in the bathroom. Police arrested Kari Lucier-McComas, 37, on a warrant for criminal trespass.

3:47 p.m. – Two pit bulls were seen wandering around 12^th and D Streets following a student on her way home from school. They were not aggressive, but they kept barking at her.

4:04 p.m. – A resident in the 4800 block of Aster St. told police 1/8 of an ounce of marijuana and a laptop were stolen from her residence. She had met two male subjects at Diablo’s Downtown Lounge in Eugene the previous night and let them stay at her home.

5:49 p.m. – A toothless male subject walked in front of a vehicle near 19^thand Q Streets.

7:18 p.m. – A caller told police her husband’s brother was driving a brand new Toyota Camry in someone’s yard, and may be intoxicated. Police contacted Martin Flores-Hernandez, 33, and arrested him on a charge of DUII.

8:56 p.m. – A white van was parked near Denny’s on Kruse Way most of the day, and the caller speculated the van was being lived in. The caller was concerned due to recent robberies in the area. Police made contact with Jonathan Wisbey, 40, and arrested him on a warrant for contempt of court.

Wednesday, May 22

12:05 a.m. – An employee of Club 1444 in the 1400 block of Main St. reported a male subject approximately 60 years old came into the club and was refused service due to already being intoxicated. The subject left the premises, and police looked for his Chevy Impala at Spyce, the new gentleman’s club down the street. His vehicle was not there, but the third time’s the charm, as police did find his vehicle at Sweet Illusions at 12:11 a.m. Police arrested Jose Perry, 49, on a charge of DUII.

7:12 a.m. – A resident in the 1800 block of L St. complained about a neighbor who has been going out to his vehicle every morning and setting off his car alarm on purpose, then slamming the doors to his vehicle repeatedly. The caller attempted to contact the neighbor about this before, but he refused to answer the door. The noisy neighbor told police he did this every morning to annoy the caller, because the caller makes noise that annoys him. Police told the neighbor this was a bad way to go about dealing with noisy neighbors and was advised on his behavior.

12:23 p.m. – A black purse, prescription drugs and a Nook with a green cover were stolen from a vehicle parked at the Gateway Village Apartments in the 3200 block of Gateway St.

5:38 p.m. – A resident in the 100 block of W. E St. reported having deposited and withdrew money from his bank account for a male subject. The subject had been asking the resident to deposit checks into his account because he did not have identification and could not cash them himself. The bank contacted the resident and told him the account the deposited checks were drawn from had been closed and were no good. The male subject, Maxwell Schilling, 20, was already incarcerated on another charge, and added first-degree theft to his list of charges he was being held on.

9:36 p.m. – A caller reported hearing a shot fired near 36^th and E Streets.
