Springfield Police Blotter for Feb. 5-6, 2013. This is a sampling of police activity that occurred in Springfield during that time period, and not representative of all activity that occurred.

Tuesday, Feb. 5 
12:34 a.m. – Two roommates were engaged in a verbal dispute over taxi fare at a residence in the 500 block of 49th St.
1:56 a.m. – A resident in the 1700 block of 10th St. woke up to hear her daughter’s boyfriend breaking items in the house. The boyfriend hit her daughter in the face, but she did not need medical attention. Police arrived, and a civil compromise was reached concerning the damaged items. However, the boyfriend, Bryson Simmons, 19, was cited for minor in possession, and he left.
8:16 a.m. – Two vehicles were spray-painted in the 2200 block of Centennial Blvd.
9:27 a.m. – A male subject wearing a Halloween mask was reported in the 1900 block of Scott Rd.
9:59 a.m. – A woman in the 100 block of S. 47thSt. called police in hysterics saying her husband needed to leave. She reported he was throwing things at her and the baby. She reported the husband pushed her, and threw a glass of water at her and a 4-year-old child. Police arrived and determined no crime had occurred, and the husband departed.

11:08 a.m. – Police arrested Jimmy Kramer, 26, on warrants for multiple charges at Mill and B Streets. He incurred an additional charge of criminal mischief related to graffiti on the Glenwood side of the Springfield Bridge.

12:14 p.m. – A breast pump was found in some bushes in the 400 block of S. 40th St.
12:30 p.m. – Adrian Perez, 40, was cited for driving while suspended in the 1400 block of 21st St.
2:21 p.m. – Police responded to Taco Time in the 200 block of Main St. as an elderly woman was asking employees unusual questions and seemed to be disoriented. She was looking through her purse trying to find her address. Police contacted the 86-year-old female subject’s daughter, who came and met her at the location. The subject was able to drive safely home to her nearby residence.
2:41 p.m. – A caller reported a male subject police have been trying to locate was on her porch in the 600 block of 21st St. The subject left when the caller presented her handgun. The subject was described as a white male, about 5’8” with a thin build, wearing a Halloween or hockey mask, and wearing a black and white beanie, a black jacket and white shorts. Police did not locate the subject.
5:22 p.m. – Joseph Wilson, 51, was cited for illegal camping on a hill behind Burger King in the 5800 block of Main St.
6:33 p.m. – An employee of Safeway in the 5400 block of Main St. reported a female subject purchased some groceries with her Oregon Trail card, but had also stashed about $50 worth of batteries in her backpack. The subject took off on her bike across Main St. into a nearby apartment complex. She dropped her bicycle, which was seized by police. Police were unable to locate the subject, who was described as a white female between 35-40 years old, 5’8”-5’9” with a slender build with black or brown wavy hair. She was wearing a black jacket with grey stripes and blue jeans.

9:16 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a male and female yelling at each other at a house in the 2000 block of L St. The male juvenile was hiding in the bushes and confronted by a female that came out of the house. The female yelled, “Are you still out there?” This address has been identified as the location of a suspected drug house.

10:03 p.m. – Police responded to an incident in an apartment complex in the 1900 block of 5th St. A television was thrown on the ground, and a neighbor also called in this incident. Police arrested Kayla Pigeon, 25, on a charge of furnishing liquor to minors. Also arrested were Kallan Hampton and Bryson Simmons, both 19, for minors in possession of alcohol, and Christian Batchelder, 20, for resisting arrest and false information to police.

Wednesday, Feb. 6
1:09 a.m. – Police arrested Joseph Cross, 44, on a warrant for a weapons offense. He also incurred additional charges of possession of methamphetamine, felon in possession of a restricted weapon and carrying a concealed weapon.
2:34 a.m. – A man staying at the Holiday Inn in the 900 block of Kruse Way reported a female subject stole his cell phone after getting into an argument. Another caller called police regarding this incident and said a male came to the location and retrieved some property that a female had left there. The male left in a taxi and said he was going to Shari’s where the female subject was supposed to be.
8:15 a.m. – A resident in the 200 block of 23rd St. reported a male subject was sleeping in his camper. He confronted the subject, who then ran away. The caller took pictures of the subject with his phone and showed police. Police were familiar with the 41-year-old male subject and took a report.
10:33 a.m. – A resident in a mobile home park in the 100 block of 12th St. reported a suspicious vehicle was parked with a male subject sleeping inside. Police made contact with Nathaniel Stair, 29, and arrested him for possession of heroin.
1:19 p.m. – A male threw a bag into a large newspaper recycling bin and climbed into it. Police responded and spoke to a 31-year-old male subject, who said he was waiting for the soup kitchen. He was advised to wait on the sidewalk.
4:12 p.m. – A 29-year-old male subject went into the Cricket Wireless store in the 1000 block of Harlow Rd. saying he would be back with a “gun and shoot them all.” The subject also stated he overdosed in a nearby bank and was not allowed back inside. Police did not locate the subject.
8:23 p.m. – A citizen went to the Springfield Police Department to report his belief that a chip had been implanted into his body.
10:49 p.m. – Blake Guthrie, 29, was arrested on a warrant for DUII at 65th Pl. and Main St.
