Pedestrian vs Vehicle Fatal Crash on Hwy. 99 Under Investigation



Eugene, Or. - At 9:07 p.m. on March 5, callers reported a pedestrian/vehicle crash in the roadway at 2222 Hwy. 99 N. 

The pedestrian died on scene and the roadway was shut down to traffic for a crash investigation by EPD’s Major Collision Investigation team.

 The road reopened at 12:48 a.m. on March 6. The vehicle’s driver stayed on scene and cooperated with police. 


The pedestrian’s identity is being withheld until his family can be notified.

Suspect Charged with Murder in 590 E. Broadway Shooting

Eugene, Ore. - At 2:39 a.m. September 2, Eugene Police responded to a report of a shooting at 590 E. Broadway. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and the suspect left the location in a vehicle and is no longer in the area. Homicide in Mapleton

Mapleton, Ore. - Today the Lane County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a possible homicide in the 9400 block of Hwy 126W.  ***UPDATE: Marsha Quesnell's case for murder is now pending due to fitness to proceed. In other words, the court has deemed her unable to help in her own defense due to mental illness or defect, at this time.*** The caller, Marsha Quesnell advised she had killed her mother Mona Tittle. When deputies arrived Marsha cooperated and was taken into custody without incident. Mona was located by deputies deceased inside the residence. Marsha Doreen Quesnell - 2020 mugshot Marsha was lodged at Lane County Adult Corrections this afternoon on the charge of murder.
