Springfield Police Blotter for Feb. 12-13, 2013. This is a sampling of police activity that occurred in Springfield during that time period, and not representative of all activity that occurred.
Tuesday, Feb. 12
12:07 a.m. – Anthony Madonna, 32, was arrested at Mohawk Blvd. and M St. on a warrant for theft.
2:56 a.m. – Dennis Morgan, 32, was cited for driving while suspended in the 1800 block of Pioneer Parkway E.
3:46 a.m. – Trevor Uehlin, 34, was arrested in the 200 block of 18th St. on warrants for burglary and possession of methamphetamine. While the officer was transporting Uehlin to Lane County Jail, a male subject jumped in front of the officer’s vehicle, appearing to be high on something. The male subject said he had used methamphetamine and was suicidal. He also told police he had ax marks on his body, but none were observed.
4:40 a.m. – Michael Trathen, 51, was arrested on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine in the 1400 block of 21st St.
6:51 a.m. – A resident in the 0 block of E St. reported an intoxicated black female subject had broken into her house. She kicked the subject out, and called police more out of concern about the subject’s level of intoxication, and wanted her warned about trespassing. The report regarding the 28-year-old female subject, well known to police, was aired to units.
8:04 a.m. – Police spoke to a 52-year-old male subject who was going through garbage cans in the 4800 block of Daisy St.
10:28 a.m.- Christopher Allen, 29, was arrested at 42nd St. and Jasper Rd. on warrants for possession of methamphetamine and possession of a burglary tool.
2:10 p.m. – A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked at DHS in the 100 block of 30th St.
2:56 p.m. – A caller at Thomsen’s Market in the 3400 block of Main St. reported a male subject outside yelling at customers. Police contacted the 39-year-old male subject, and trespassed him from the location.
9:11 p.m. – A caller reported approximately 10 subjects went into Carls Jr. in the 1900 block of Marcola Rd. and paid for food showing a large amount of money. The subjects appeared to be canvassing the workers there. All of the male subjects involved had similar tattoos on their forearms or knuckles.
11:44 p.m. – A gun shot was reported in the 400 block of 37th St.
11:46 p.m. – A resident of a mobile home park in the 1200 block of Main St. reported a suspect damaged his fence, and his Chihuahua, “Honey,” was stuck in the fence. The caller is disabled, and was unable to rescue the dog and requested assistance.

Wednesday, Feb. 13
12:28 a.m. – Nicholas Whaley, 32, was cited for driving while suspended at 28th and D Streets.
12:33 a.m. – A resident of the Chalet Village Mobile Home Park in the 200 block of S. 54thSt reported hearing three male subjects involved in a dispute inside of a trailer. The caller reported hearing glass break, and said the lights were on. The caller said it may have to do with the drugs, saying one of the subjects yelled about someone being a tweeker. Police arrested Derrick Hill, 24, on a warrant for failure to appear.
7:11 a.m. – Police fielded a call concerning a male subject in a sleeping bag directly in front of Q St. Animal Hospital in the 200 block of Q St. After a few minutes, the subject moved on, and police were not needed to respond.
8:25 a.m. – A brick was thrown through a vehicle window in the 5100 block of E St., and a GPS was stolen.
9:29 a.m. – A student at Briggs Middle School in the 2300 block of Yolanda Ave. was caught with marijuana. The school requested a patrol unit because a school resource officer was not available.
9:55 a.m. – A resident in the 800 block of S. 43rd St. found a Pomeranian dog in front of his house. The dog was returned to its home at a nearby residence.
10:34 a.m. – Crystal Derby, 30, was cited for driving while suspended in the 600 block of W. Centennial Blvd.
11:32 a.m. – A male subject was reported to be sleeping in a sleeping bag by the LTD stop near the Fred Meyer gas station. The subject had been asked to leave, and had not done so. The subject was inside a blue sleeping bag with an open beer next to him, and several customers have complained about the subject, as he was making them uncomfortable. An LTD supervisor came out to the bus stop, and issued trespass paperwork to a 38-year-old male subject.
12:23 p.m. – A red Volkswagen Beetle and a black Honda were reported to be racing northbound on Pioneer Parkway. Police did not locate the vehicles in a check of the area.
12:41 p.m. – Eric Smith, 29, was arrested in the 700 block of 28th St. on a warrant for robbery, and an additional charge of being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon.
12:51 p.m. – A resident in the 1000 block of 56th St. reported a female subject got into her vehicle and “trashed it.” The subject reportedly “pooped” in her car and had “Poop” all over her clothing. Medics came to the location and transported the 44-year-old female subject to a hospital.
1:44 p.m. – A report was taken concerning a male subject who tampered with electrical meters of residents in the 3400 block of Oregon Ave. The subject reportedly stole electricity from one of the residents.

1:49 p.m. – Deena Quesnell, 53, was arrested at Bi-Mart in the 1500 block of Mohawk Blvd. on charges of theft and possession of methamphetamine.
1:59 p.m. – Cathy Estes, 39, was arrested in the 300 block of S. 22nd St on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine.
3:12 p.m. – A resident in the 5200 block of Cynthia Ct. reported a 31-year-old male subject who lives nearby has been yelling at her regularly about her cat. The subject was reported to have said he will kill her cats if they defecate in his yard, and will put feces on her porch. The caller was advised by police about stalking orders, and requested police log this information.
3:47 p.m. – A caller at a foster home in the 600 block of Nighthawk Lane reported a resident was shooting a fire extinguisher all over the living room, then went outside and vomited. The caller requested officers and medics come to the residence.
4:56 p.m. – Police responded to a report of a male subject sleeping on the sidewalk in front of Robert Saks Mattress in the 100 block of Q St. The 38-year-old male subject was advised by police of illegal camping. He was the same subject from the 11:32 a.m. incident earlier this date.
7:33 p.m. – Someone called to report a man in a wheelchair with a pit bull in tow comes to the park at Guy Lee Elementary School in the 700 block of Harlow Rd., and sells marijuana to the kids who play there. The caller could not describe the subject, and police did not locate him in a check of the area.
11:27 p.m. – Reed Turner, 37, was arrested at 18th and Olympic Streets on charges of DUII and delivery of marijuana.
