Springfield Police Blotter for Feb. 14-15, 2013. This is a sampling of police activity that occurred in Springfield during that time period, and not representative of all activity that occurred.

Thursday, Feb. 14
12:19 a.m. – Kelly Haddad, 37, was arrested on warrants for failure to appear in the 3300 block of Harvest Lane.
12:20 a.m. – A caller reported a suspected drunk driver in a white four-door sedan driving around the “bird streets” in the Gateway area.
12:25 a.m. – A resident of Mountain View Mobile Home Park in the 5600 block of Daisy St. reported a group of 4-5 juveniles outside being loud and smoking marijuana. About 20 minutes later, the caller informed police the group had left in vehicles.

1:12 a.m. – Employees of McKenzie-Willamette Hospital in the 1400 block of G St. reported a female subject had defecated in the lobby. This was an ongoing issue at the location. Police responded to the location and arrested Leslie O’Brien, 55, on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass.
3:51 a.m. – Billy Shaw, 47, was arrested in the 1400 block of 5th St. on a charge of being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon.
9:45 a.m. – Police took a report of theft of nearly $1,740 worth of tools from Jerry’s Home Improvement in the 2500 block of Olympic St. Some of the property had been recovered at an area pawn shop. A suspect had been identified through video surveillance.
10:11 a.m. – A caller reported hearing a dispute outside in the 6800 block of Aster St. including hearing a male yelling about knives being thrown. Police responded to the address and determined no crime had occurred. A female subject had been upset due to her ex bringing a “tweaker” over.
10:28 a.m. – A resident of an apartment complex in the 800 block of Oakdale Ave. reported a strong smell of rotting meat from a nearby apartment.
12:02 p.m. – Michael Humphries, 48, was cited for driving while suspended in the 1300 block of Main St.
1:02 p.m. – Police took a report of a 6-month old infant locked alone in a vehicle at Value Village in the 500 block of W. Centennial Blvd. A male subject came out a minute later with another small child and left.
1:52 p.m. – Kristan Gabert, 26, was cited for driving while suspended in the 1200 block of S. A St.
3:00 p.m. – A female appearing to be in her 80’s was driving a Buick on eastbound I-105 at 40mph and unable to stay in her lane of traffic.
4:56 p.m. – A resident in the 1000 block of F St. reported a nearby vacant home appears to be occupied by squatters. Syringes and nails were found at the location, but no one was inside when police checked.
5:46 p.m. – A woman reported a male subject who lives next door to her children’s day care provider in the 200 block of 39th St. yelled racial slurs to her and her children.
9:16 p.m. – A caller in the 1400 block of 33rd St. reported finding a bunch of mailed W-2’s that did not belong to the caller.

9:41 p.m. – Andrew P. Nelson, 24, was arrested in the 1900 block of L St. on warrants for robbery, theft, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of methamphetamine.
10:29 p.m. – An employee of a store in the 500 block of Harlow Rd. reported a male subject coming in and out of the store, and loitering for about two hours. The subject was drinking a bottle of alcohol, and appeared transient. Police contacted a 44-year-old male, and he went on his way with no further incident.
11:04 p.m. – Police advised a subject concerning indecent exposure.
11:51 p.m. – A resident of an apartment complex in the 700 block of Oakdale Ave. complained of loud noises from the unit above, and had already complained to management about this issue. Police responded to the location, and advised the subjects and the caller. The noise was created by juveniles having a slumber party, who had fallen asleep between the time of the call and officers’ arrival.

Friday, Feb. 15
12:04 a.m. – A janitor at LTD’s Springfield Station in the 300 block of S. A St. reported a female subject was “flipping out, saying she wants to blow up the world,” near the EmX section of the facility. The female was described as being white, in her late-50s, heavy-set and wearing a red coat. Officers arrived a few minutes later and the janitor advised officers the subject had left.
12:20 a.m. – A resident in the 4900 block of Daisy St. reported his U.S. Marine Corps flag had been stolen. This incident occurred in the 30-minute timeframe prior to calling police.
12:56 a.m. – A customer at the Jack in the Box drive-thru in the 1800 block of Pioneer Parkway E. reported the vehicle in front may be operated by an impaired driver. A male passenger was vomiting outside the door of the Cadillac Escalade. The caller reported seeing the vehicle swerving in the roadway, and later observed the same vehicle run a red light nearby.
1:40 a.m. – A caller saw a fire in a residential lot near 7th and T Streets. Police advised the caller they would not respond at that time, and the caller also reported hearing leaves being raked.

6:03 a.m. – A female subject was acting in a disorderly manner inside Addi’s Diner in the 200 block of S. A St. The subject initially came in to apologize to employees for her past behavior and was told by the caller that “she blew it.” Police found Virginia Collins, 50, at the nearby Taco Time and arrested her on charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
7:50 a.m. – An alarm went off at Chuck E. Cheese in the 3000 block of Gateway St. Mall security reported an employee was present, and everything was clear.
8:24 a.m. – Randall Kuhl, 40, was cited for driving while suspended at the I-5/I-105 interchange.
8:42 a.m. – A tenant in a strip mall in the 800 block of Beltline Rd. reported a male subject was parked in a vehicle and screaming, and has been there for over an hour. Police arrested Joshua Deivert, 28, on a contempt of court warrant.
11:36 a.m. – Jessie Vasquez, 21, was cited for driving while suspended in the 5700 block of Main St.
12:18 p.m. – A woman in the 6400 block of Main St. called police to report a male subject who lives at the residence has been threatening to kill her. The caller had previously been advised about improper use of 911. Police responded to this dispute over a $25 debt. The male subject moved out, and both parties agreed to forget about the $25 debt and not talk to each other anymore.

1:30 p.m. – A pipe was found in the donation bin at Goodwill in the 100 block of 30thSt.
1:41 p.m. – Danielle Bellamy, 34, was cited for driving while suspended at 12th and Main Streets.
1:44 p.m. – A resident in the 800 block of B St. found an animal trap in her front yard.
3:00 p.m. – A male subject called the manager of McDonald’s in the 3400 block of Gateway St. asking for a refund on a recent purchase. The manager did not oblige the request. The subject then threatened to come to the location and shoot the manager in the face. The information was documented by police.
3:13 p.m. – Two pit bulls got into a fight in front of the Dari-Mart in the 3100 block of Gateway St.
7:21 p.m. – An intoxicated male subject was being combative with staff at McKenzie-Willamette Hospital in the 1400 block of G St. He allegedly threatened to kill the doctor so he could spend the night in jail. The situation was resolved with no further incident.
8:55 p.m. – Levi Anderson, 21, was arrested in the 1900 block of E St. on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine.
9:30 p.m. – Everett Blilie, 61, was arrested on a charge of DUII at 42nd St and Smith Way.
11:46 p.m. – A nurse at RiverBend Hospital in the 3300 block of Riverbend Dr. seized heroin from a 42-year-old female subject. A report was taken.
