Springfield Police Blotter for Feb. 20-21, 2013. This is a sampling of police activity that occurred in Springfield during that time period, and not representative of all activity that occurred.

Wednesday, Feb. 20

12:46 a.m. – Cody Lockard, 25, was cited for driving while suspended at 23^rd and A Streets.

1:23 a.m. – A resident in the 1600 block of Water St. reported her boyfriend went outside to smoke, who observed two subjects entering a truck. After confronting them, he was assaulted by the two subjects. Nothing was taken from the vehicle, and after regaining consciousness, the smoking boyfriend declined medics.

6:36 a.m. – Police responded to a call of subjects camping at the First Baptist Church in the 1100 block of G St. Police contacted three male subjects, advised them of illegal camping, and they moved on their way.

7:53 a.m. – An employee of Guy Lee Elementary School in the 700 block of Harlow Rd. reported a female subject was on the grounds, and had been asked to leave the property the previous day. The subject is the parent of a former student who had been placed in foster care. The caller told police the school had been placed on “Code Red”, and children coming to school at the time had been placed in a secure location. Police came to the location, and the subject left. The school began the process of formally trespassing the subject from school grounds.

8:18 a.m. – Syringes were found in front of the Century Link building in the 1600 block of Main St. A waste products disposal company was called to come out and properly dispose of the syringes.

8:46 a.m. – Samantha Davis, 39, was cited for driving while suspended at 32^nd St. and Oregon Ave.

9:01 a.m. – A bright green swastika and “420” were reported to be painted on a fence along a bike path near 9^th and T Streets.

10:01 a.m. – Sean Padilla, 34, and Kishia Austin, 28, were cited for drinking alcohol inside a truck parked in the 100 block of 4^th St.

10:08 a.m. – A caller reported a female subject sleeping next to the front door of Lifetime Tattoos in the 1400 block of Main St. Police responded and arrested Jennifer Cole, 30, on a charge of criminal trespass.

11:22 a.m. – A male subject was reported to be disoriented in the area of W. Centennial Blvd. and Anderson Lane. The subject was described as being about 50 years of age with salt and pepper hair. The subject ran up to the caller and was yelling about having been fired, then offered the caller a mint. The subject then ran eastbound, with his arms flaring as though he was a jet airplane.

2:53 p.m. – A 1993 Nissan truck was repossessed from an address in the 600 block of 53^rd St.

7:00 p.m. – $250 cash was reported stolen from a wallet left in the bathroom at Subway in the 500 block of W. Centennial Blvd.

8:37 p.m. – A woman driving near 28^th and Olympic Streets reported two males at the corner were waving jumper cables in the air. The woman locked her car doors when they approached her vehicle, and one of the subjects yelled at her as she drove away.

10:22 p.m. – Employees of McKenzie-Willamette Hospital reported a female subject who was refusing to leave, and also refusing treatment. The subject allegedly dug her fingernails into one of the nurses. Joni Griffith, 54, was arrested on a charge of physical harassment.

10:30 p.m. – A male subject reportedly pulled a knife on the bouncer at Sweet Illusions in the 1800 block of S. A St. The bouncer then reported two subjects had knives and said they were walking towards a nearby convenience store. Police observed two subjects at 16^th and J Streets matching the description provided by the bouncer. Ian O’Hare, 25, and Sean Padilla, 34 were arrested. Both were charged with menacing, and O’Hare also was charged with physical harassment.

Thursday, Feb. 21

1:49 a.m. – Christopher Lovan, 22, was cited for driving while suspended at 48^th and Main Streets.

2:54 a.m. – A person going to work reported a suspicious male subject standing against a stop sign at 69^th and D Streets, and suspected he may have been casing the neighborhood.

10:08 a.m. – A male subject was refusing to leave a residence in the 900 block of Sunset Dr. He was sitting in his silver sports car in the driveway. Police located Christopher Ellingboe and arrested him on warrants for contempt of court.

10:23 a.m. – A male subject reportedly threw his bicycle into the intersection of 32^nd and Main Streets, angry that a wheel fell off of it. Police were not able to locate the subject.

11:01 p.m. – A male subject was reported to appear disoriented at Island Park in the 200 block of W. B St. The subject was slurring his words and riding a bike. Police did not locate him in a check of the area.

11:11 a.m. – A resident in the area of 14^th and C Streets reported a vehicle repeatedly driving up and down the street, occupied by four male subjects wearing hoods. The vehicle stopped at the neighbor’s house. The caller said the neighbor’s son is “a druggy.” The vehicle left, and the caller asked police to disregard the call.

11:38 a.m. – A resident in the 2400 block of F St. told police a contractor for a restoration company that had done some work at the residence a few months ago, and told the caller law required that he take the refrigerator and dishwasher. He took the items, and did not return them. The company the contractor worked for has learned of a pattern of this behavior by the contractor. The contractor reportedly took items in this manner from residents he performed work for then sold them to other contractors.

1:28 p.m. – Kristien Suldan, 28, was arrested on charges of theft and criminal trespass at WinCo in the 1900 block of Olympic St.

2:00 p.m. – An unknown subject put glue on the back doors of a residence in the 600 block of S. 49^th Pl. and glued them shut.

2:39 p.m. – Two wooden porch chairs were taken from a residence in the 2300 block of Lomond Ave.

2:49 p.m. – A resident in the 500 block of 64^th St. listed a dog on Craigslist for re-homing. A subject texted the caller that he was interested in the dog and asked if he could pick the dog up at 10 p.m. The caller said no. The next day, the caller was unable to make a scheduled appointment to meet the subject to determine if he would be a good owner for the dog. The subject became angry about the inability to find a time to meet about the dog, and began sending hostile emails to the caller, along with a female acquaintance of his.

4:56 p.m. – A woman who used to live with a roommate until December 2012 called police to report her former roommate in the 4800 block of Aster St. refused to give her back bedroom furniture she had been renting from Rent-A-Center. The subject who still lives there refused to give the property back. The caller went to the location and waited for police. Rent-A-Center went to the location and took back the property.

6:07 p.m. – A caller reported flames shooting up in a backyard as high as the fence line in the 4200 block of Camellia St.

6:20 p.m. – Two subjects, one male and one female, reportedly had stolen some items from Kohl’s in the 2900 block of Gateway St. After doing so, they left the store entrance and went into the mall. The subjects sat in massage chairs, and also had a pit bull service dog with them. The subjects got up and walked further down the mall, then got into a verbal argument with each other. The subjects went outside through the food court entrance, and began yelling at each other in front of Movies 12. Police arrested Misty Wilmarth, 32, and Damien Moss, 44.

9:17 p.m. – A resident in the 100 block of U St. reported a female subject had stolen ski boots, a white sweatshirt and other property. Police arrested Emily Hahn, 36, on a charge of theft.

9:56 p.m. – An employee of Lucky Lil’s in the 1300 block of Mohawk Blvd. reported a previously trespassed male subject had come into the lottery area of the establishment, attempting to sell pipes to customers. A person in the area questioned by police reported the subject lives near Pleasant St. Police did not locate the subject in a check of the area.

11:25 p.m. – An employee of Lucky Lil’s in the 1300 block of Mohawk Blvd. reported a male subject was standing outside the location and appeared to be “strung out.” The subject came inside to ask if he can use the phone, and had a chrome bat hanging off of his bicycle. The subject did not appear to be transient, but was described as “jittery and fidgety.” The subject then began to rearrange bicycles that were parked at the location. Police responded, and the 27-year-old subject acknowledged being on methamphetamine, but police determined he was not appropriate for transport to a detoxification facility.
