Pedestrian - Vehicle Crash HWY 99 Near Side Street



Eugene, Ore. - At 7:04 p.m. on February 2, a caller to 911 reported a pedestrian/vehicle crash in the 500 block of Hwy. 99 North (near Side Street). 

Eugene Springfield Fire and Eugene Police responded. Eugene Police arrived and began CPR on the pedestrian, a 44-year-old man, and ESF took over emergency medical care upon arrival shortly thereafter. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital. 

The 47-year-old driver remained on scene. Intoxication on the part of the pedestrian appears to be a factor in the crash. Eugene Police Major Collision Investigation Team is investigating. Case 24-01643
