Neighborhood Callers Lead To Search Warrant And Three Arrests

Eugene, Or. - Frustrated Eugene neighbors called Eugene Police to report residents in their neighborhood appeared to be dealing drugs from their home. There was also a recent alleged drive-by shooting that ultimately was determined to be an air-soft discharge at the problem residence. Eugene Police Street Crimes Unit, which is funded by the Community Safety Payroll Tax, went to work on it.

On January 30, they applied for and then served a search warrant at 732 Ellsworth Street. EPD SWAT,  Drone, Tactical K9 and CNT teams executed the warrant at approximately 6:15 p.m.

One of the primary residents, Shawn Harold Raymond, age 42,  attempted to flee out the back of the home, but SWAT had that covered and he was taken into custody on two warrants. Another of the primary residents, Kari Lynne Pileggi, age 44, was safely taken into custody. Clarissa Marie Castro, age 27, who was present at the location was taken into custody on a warrant. SCU lodged all three at Lane County Jail.

Later, during a neighborhood canvas several neighbors expressed their heartfelt gratitude for Eugene Police Department for resolving the issue that had plagued their neighborhood. EPD notified City the Eugene Code Enforcement of the activity for inspection and abatement of the residence.

SCU lodged evidence collected from the search warrant including suspected heroin, fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, packaging material, scales, more than $400, and a taser.

Charges:
