Springfield Man Arrested For Murder

 


Springfield, Or. - On February 15th, 2024 at 3:51 PM Officers and Detectives with the Springfield Police Department responded to a residence in the 4600 block of Aster Street regarding a shooting incident.  Officers located three family members, one of which was deceased due to a gunshot wound.  It was learned there had been a family dispute that led to the shooting incident.  

After collecting evidence from the home, statements from witnesses, and statements from the involved, Jack Edward Smith was taken into custody without incident and lodged at the Lane County Jail for the charge of Murder II.

Suspect Charged with Murder in 590 E. Broadway Shooting

Eugene, Ore. - At 2:39 a.m. September 2, Eugene Police responded to a report of a shooting at 590 E. Broadway. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and the suspect left the location in a vehicle and is no longer in the area. Homicide in Mapleton

Mapleton, Ore. - Today the Lane County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a possible homicide in the 9400 block of Hwy 126W.  ***UPDATE: Marsha Quesnell's case for murder is now pending due to fitness to proceed. In other words, the court has deemed her unable to help in her own defense due to mental illness or defect, at this time.*** The caller, Marsha Quesnell advised she had killed her mother Mona Tittle. When deputies arrived Marsha cooperated and was taken into custody without incident. Mona was located by deputies deceased inside the residence.
