Person Transporter to Hospital after Lighting Self on Fire


Eugene, Ore. - At 2:05 PM June 29th, crews were dispatched with EPD to a person on fire at 7-11, 150 Hwy 99 North in West Eugene. 

Bystanders used fire extinguishers and blankets to try and suppress the fire.  Witnesses reported that a person doused themself with gasoline from one of the pumps, walked 40 feet away from the pumps and lit themselves on fire.  

The patient was transported to RiverBend with life threatening burns.
