Eugene Police Investigate Reports of Gunfire in Goodpasture Loop Area
EUGENE, Ore. – Early Sunday morning, Eugene police responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the Goodpasture Loop area. At approximately 6:27 a.m. on March 24, residents from Crescent Avenue, Norkenzie, Holly Avenue, and Corum Avenue called 911 after hearing what they believed to be gunshots.
One caller suggested the sounds came from near the freeway, while another speculated they could have been fireworks. Three officers were dispatched to investigate but found no evidence of gunfire, including spent shell casings.
The Eugene Police Department logged the incident under case number 25-075548 and continues to monitor the area. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact authorities.
