Pickup Driver Severely Injured in Crash with Log Truck

EUGENE, OR – A serious crash at the intersection of Prairie Road and Irvington Road on March 18 left a pickup truck driver severely injured, according to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say the driver of a silver 2004 Nissan Frontier failed to stop at a stop sign while heading west on Irvington Road. The pickup was then struck by a northbound 2006 Kenworth log truck on Prairie Road.

Emergency crews responded to the scene at 3 p.m., transporting the pickup driver to a local hospital with severe injuries. The driver of the log truck was uninjured and is cooperating with the investigation.
