Man Arrested for Robbery at Eugene 7-Eleven
EUGENE, OR — On June 24, 2025, Eugene Police arrested 31-year-old Russell Dalton Ward following an robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 951 W. 6th Avenue. At approximately 2:26 p.m., officers responded to reports that Ward had shoplifted from the store and, when confronted by employees, brandished a knife and threatened them before fleeing.
An employee followed Ward to a residence in the 400 block of Monroe Street, but Ward was believed to have left before police arrived. Later, an officer investigating the incident spotted Ward near the residence. Ward fled into a nearby backyard, prompting additional officers to respond. He eventually surrendered and was taken into custody.
Ward was lodged at Lane County Jail on multiple outstanding warrants and a new charge of Robbery in the First Degree. EPD case number 25-10008.
