Arrest Made in 515 Broadway Avenue Shooting Incident

Eugene, Or. - The Eugene Police Department (EPD) has made an arrest in connection to a shooting that occurred earlier in November at 515 Broadway Avenue. Earlier today, 19-year-old Jacob Lee Bayardo, a Springfield resident, was arrested and lodged at the Lane County Jail. Bayardo faces multiple charges, including two counts of Attempted Assault in the First Degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and three counts of Reckless Endangering for his alleged involvement in the shooting.

The incident unfolded in the early hours of November 1, around 1:30 a.m., when Central Lane 911 received multiple calls reporting a shooting in the parking lot of 515 Broadway Avenue. EPD officers arrived on the scene to discover that two unknown suspects had fired shots at individuals as they were leaving the apartment complex. After the shooting, the suspects fled the scene, and the victims were able to escape without injury.

Although the situation was tense, no one was reported as injured in the shooting. Following the incident, the Eugene Police Investigations Unit began working the case and gathered evidence that led to the arrest of Bayardo. The investigation is ongoing, and no further information will be released at this time.

Authorities are continuing to work to uncover all details surrounding the shooting and are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. Tips can be provided to Detective Rick Lowe at 541-682-5573.

This case is being handled under EPD case number 24-16544. Information from EPD
