Lane County Man Sentenced to Over 14 Years for Sex Crimes



LANE COUNTY, Ore. — A 43-year-old Lane County man has been sentenced to over 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to three sex crime charges. 

Judah Chester Lewis Hanenkrat, also known as Judah Lemon, entered his guilty plea on January 24, 2025, to two counts of Sodomy in the First Degree and one count of Attempt to Commit Sodomy in the First Degree, a Class B Felony.

Court records show Hanenkrat received a 100-month sentence for each of the sodomy charges and a 75-month sentence for the attempt to commit felony charge. According to jail records, the two sodomy sentences will run concurrently, while the attempt to commit charge will run consecutively, totaling more than 14 years in prison. Hanenkrat’s uncalculated end-of-sentence date is August 28, 2039, though this does not include credit for time served in county lock-up. 

Due to the nature of the charges, Hanenkrat will be required to serve the full 100 months for both sodomy charge without the possibility of early release or good time credits, in accordance with Measure 11 laws.

Hanenkrat has been in the Lane County Jail since August 16th, 2024 and is presently awaiting transferred to the Coffee Creek Correctional Facility.  He will be housed in Coffee Creek for intake and later moved to an all-male Oregon prison to serve out his sentence.

Hanenkrat, once released from prison after serving his sentence, will have 10 years of Post-Prison Supervision (PPS).

13-Year-Old Calls 911 on Mother Driving Recklessly

Springfield, Or. - On Monday, August 25, 2024, Springfield Police Department Officers were made aware of a blue Subaru that was being driven recklessly through red lights and traveling eastbound on Beltline towards Springfield.  The Subaru was reported by an 13-year-old juvenile in the vehicle, who had called 911 to report that their mother, Camie Colleen Sorensen , age 43, was driving recklessly and looking for “water to drive into”.  An officer positioned themselves in the Gateway area, in the event that the Subaru entered Springfield. Shortly after, the Subaru passed the officer before briefly yielding at a red light. The vehicle then accelerated away at a high rate of speed as the officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop.  The vehicle continued southbound on Pioneer Parkway West, weaving through traffic, and driving dangerously.
