On October 15th, 2024, EPD’s Street Crimes Unit (SCU) was set to execute a search warrant at 645 Louis Street. However, moments before the operation could begin, a stolen vehicle arrived at the location. Inside were two wanted individuals: 49-year-old Gary Lee Walls and 38-year-old Dana Marie Stucky, Hali Stucky’s daughter. Dana Stucky was dropped off at the residence just as SCU was preparing to serve the warrant, and Walls fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.
Quickly shifting tactics, SCU called in assistance from EPD Patrol to stop the stolen vehicle. Officers were able to safely apprehend Gary Walls and take him into custody for his outstanding warrants. He was lodged at Lane County Jail under Case 24-15632. During the arrest, Walls was seen on his phone speaking with Dana Stucky, who left the Louis Street residence and made her way to the traffic stop, where she was also taken into custody for her own outstanding warrants and attempts to locate (ATLs). She was subsequently lodged at Lane County Jail under Case 24-15625. The stolen vehicle was returned to its rightful owner.
Meanwhile, Hali Sue Stucky, the primary subject of the search warrant, left the house and joined her daughter at Walls' traffic stop. Officers quickly placed Hali Stucky into custody on-site, and a subsequent search of her residence revealed significant evidence of drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession.
The search uncovered over 544 grams (about 1.3 pounds) of methamphetamine, a .380 caliber firearm, scales, pipes, packaging materials, pay-owe sheets, and more than $79,000 in cash. These findings led to the current charges against Hali Stucky, which include Unlawful Possession, Distribution, and Manufacture of Methamphetamine (Commercial Offense), as well as Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
