Lane County Inmate Found Unresponsive, Dies Despite Medical Efforts
Eugene, Or. - On July 27, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m., a Lane County Jail deputy found an unresponsive female inmate during routine checks.
Deputies and medical staff immediately began life-saving efforts, including CPR, with assistance from Eugene Springfield Fire. Despite these efforts, the woman was pronounced deceased. The Lane County Medical Examiner’s Office is investigating the cause of death. The woman’s next of kin were promptly notified.
