Eugene Robbery Suspect Sentenced After Guilty Plea

Eugene, Ore. - On April 17, 2025, Noah Alexander Sky, 22, plead guilty to Attempted Robbery in the Second Degree for an incident that occurred on October 27, 2024, at the Duck N Go Market, located at 115 Commons Drive

On May 15, 2025, according to jail records, Sky was sentenced to 4 years, 10 months.

Had Sky been convicted of the  Oregon Measure 11 crime of Robbery in the Second Degree, it would have carried a mandatory minimum sentence of 5 years, 10 months. Measure 11 offenses require the full sentence to be served, minus time spent in county lock-up, with no eligibility for early release or good time credits.

Attempt to Commit a Crime/Robbery in the Second Degree is not a Measure 11 crime, and as such Sky can qualify for early release, and earned good time credits.

The incident began at 5:07 p.m. on October 27, 2024, when Eugene Police received a report that a man, later identified as Sky, entered the market, brandished what appeared to be a firearm, and demanded money from the store clerk. The clerk, fearing for his life, shot Sky in self-defense and called 911. Sky remained at the scene until officers arrived, provided medical aid, and took him into custody. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries before being booked into the Lane County Jail on the robbery charge. At the time of the robbery, Sky was a student at OSU.

KEZI reported that the weapon Sky used was a realistic-looking BB gun designed to resemble a Glock 19-style handgun. Oregon law permits the use of deadly force when a person reasonably fears serious physical injury or death to themselves or others.

Days before the Duck N Go robbery, on Oct 22nd, 2024, court records indicate that Sky was accused of Disorderly Conduct in the Second degree, and Criminal Trespass in the Second degree in Benton County. Court records also indicate that this case was not filed in Benton County Circuit Court until Nov.13th, 2024. This case still remains open with a no trial date listed. Sky's next court date concerning this Benton County misdemeanor case is July 6th, 2025 for a status check hearing.

Following his sentencing today, Sky was booked into the Lane County Jail, where he awaits transport to Coffee Creek Correctional Facility for intake. After processing, he will be transferred to an all-male Oregon prison to serve the remainder of his sentence.

*Due to the Oregon Judicial Portal Smart search having inaccurate information, I had reported that Sky plead guilty to Robbery in the Second Degree on 4/17/2025. I apologize for the misinformation. Currently the portal still shows that misinformation.
