House Fire Engulfs Springfield Home, Outbuilding Near Dorris Ranch
Springfield, OR – A house and outbuilding were fully engulfed in flames early Wednesday morning near Dorris Ranch in Springfield, prompting a swift response from Eugene Springfield Fire (ESF). Firefighters were dispatched to the 600 block of Dorris Street just before 4 a.m. on May 28, 2025, following reports of a possible fire. Upon arrival, crews found the structures heavily involved, though all occupants were safely accounted for.
The incident occurred outside Springfield city limits in the Willakenzie Fire District, one of seven fire and water districts served by ESF under contract with the city of Springfield. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
