Machete-Wielding and Theft Sparks Chaos and Arrest at Eugene Noodle House



EUGENE, Ore. — A chaotic scene erupted on Willamette Street when a theft and heated confrontation unfolded, according to a Eugene Police report. At 1:04 p.m., a person was reported yelling at another individual, followed by a theft accompanied by significant screaming.

The incident took place at Jade Dumpling and Noodle House, located at 2560 Willamette Street. Despite a language barrier, a man was reported to be in possession of a machete, escalating tensions with 5–6 people outside.

One person, identified as Antonio Ispas, age 21, was detained by 1:12 p.m. and arrested for misdemeanor menacing stemming from this incident. The investigation remains ongoing as authorities continue to sort out the details.
