Springfield Gas Station Robbery Attempt Thwarted, Suspect Arrested



Springfield, OR – On April 30, 2025, at approximately 11:23 p.m., a 20-year-old man, Kristopher Wallgren, attempted to rob the Arco Gas Station located at 4202 Main Street, according to the Springfield Police Department.

An employee called 911, reporting that Wallgren reached into his waistband, indicated he had a weapon, and demanded all the money from the till.

Springfield Police officers, who were nearby, arrived within minutes and took Wallgren into custody without incident. He was unable to obtain any cash during the attempt. Wallgren was subsequently booked into the Lane County Jail on charges of Robbery in the Second Degree.
