Oregon State Police Raid West Coast Game Park Safari in Criminal Probe
BANDON, Ore. — On May 15, 2025, Oregon State Police (OSP), alongside local, state, and federal agencies, executed multiple search warrants at the West Coast Game Park Safari near Bandon as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into the facility’s operations. The probe focuses on animal care and welfare, permitting, licensing, and business practices.
OSP, joined by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife, Oregon Humane Society, Oregon Department of Agriculture, Coos County Sheriff’s Office, Coos County District Attorney’s Office, Oregon Department of Justice, and IRS Criminal Investigation, searched the property for evidence. These agencies provide regulatory oversight and specialized expertise in animal care to support the investigation. The park was closed during the operation, and the public was urged to avoid the area.
Limited details were released due to the active investigation, with OSP serving as the primary contact. A follow-up news release is scheduled for May 16, 2025. The multi-disciplinary OSP, which protects Oregon’s people, wildlife, and natural resources, continues to lead the effort.
