Eugene Man Arrested for Shooting in Crow, Oregon



CROW, OR — A 26-year-old Eugene man was arrested early Tuesday morning after allegedly shooting another person multiple times with a self-defense less-lethal pistol, causing significant injury.

According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a property on Sundown Drive, east of Crow, around 3:30 a.m. on April 2 following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they located the injured victim inside a travel trailer and provided medical assistance.



During their investigation, deputies contacted multiple individuals at a nearby residence before finding the suspect, Morgan Dakoda Barnum, hiding inside the home.
Barnum was arrested and booked into the Lane County Jail on charges of:
  • Assault in the Fourth Degree

  • Unlawful Use of a Weapon

  • Menacing
