Woman Faces Charges After Crashing with BAC Nearly Seven Times Legal Limit





Springfield, OR – A 39-year-old woman, Nichole Taylor, was arrested on April 10, 2025, after crashing her vehicle into a power pole on Gateway Street near Postal Way at 6:47 a.m. According to the Springfield Police Department, a witness reported seeing Taylor’s white 2015 Chrysler 300 drive over a median just before the collision.

Officers arrived at the scene and found Taylor in the driver’s seat. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The investigation revealed that Taylor’s blood alcohol content was over 0.50%, nearly seven times the legal limit of 0.08%, and that her driving privileges were suspended at the time of the crash.

Taylor now faces charges of reckless driving, driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), and driving with a suspended license. The case, numbered 25-2436, remains under investigation.
