Suicidal Man with Firearm Safely Taken into Custody

 



EUGENE, Ore. — On April 23, Eugene Police responded to a crisis at 98 E. 11th Avenue after reports of a 43-year-old man, who was suicidal and armed with a firearm in a bathroom. 

At 8:21 a.m., police evacuated the building and deployed the SWAT team. The subject followed police instructions, exiting the building and was safely taken into custody by 9:21 a.m. 

He faces charges of Disorderly Conduct. The case number is 25-6456.
