Sheriff’s Office Arrests Suspect in Multi-Jurisdictional Child Exploitation Case
LANE COUNTY OR. - On April 3, 2025, Andrew Page Bledsoe was arrested in Caldwell, Idaho, following a nationwide warrant issued by the Lane County District Attorney’s Office.
The arrest stems from an investigation launched by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office after a March 24 report of a suicidal individual in Veneta, Oregon. Bledsoe had traveled to Portland to meet a 13-year-old girl, only to encounter a private group targeting child predators. He fled the area and expressed suicidal intent to a friend, prompting deputies to search for him unsuccessfully at the time.
Although no charges arose from the Portland incident, a Lane County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force detective uncovered evidence of potential internet crimes involving child exploitation across Oregon, the U.S., and internationally. The investigation expanded with support from the Oregon State Police and the FBI, leading authorities to locate Bledsoe in Idaho. Minutes after the warrant was issued, Caldwell Police apprehended him.
Bledsoe awaits extradition to Lane County, where he faces six initial counts of Encouraging Child Sex Abuse in the First Degree. The case, identified as #25-1431, highlights ongoing efforts by local, state, and federal agencies to combat child exploitation, with the Lane County ICAC Task Force playing a key role in protecting vulnerable communities.
