Wanted Man Flees Lane County Deputies in Remote Forest Chase
OAKRIDGE, Ore. — On April 16, a Lane County Sheriff’s deputy spotted Jared Lee Moe, a 35-year-old Oakridge resident wanted on a felony warrant, several miles up Horse Creek Road southeast of McKenzie Bridge.
Moe, also sought by Oakridge Police for fleeing a recent traffic stop, escaped into the woods when approached by the deputy.
Additional deputies and Oregon State Troopers conducted a search but were unable to locate Moe, hindered by the delayed response time to the remote area. Moe, described as a 5’10”, 155-pound white male with black hair and brown eyes, is known to travel between Oakridge and McKenzie Bridge via Aufderheide Drive.
Authorities warn that Moe may be armed and advise the public not to approach him. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Lane County Sheriff’s Office at 541-682-4141. LCSO Case #25-1811
