Eugene Teen Arrested in March Murder Case



EUGENE, Ore. — An 18-year-old Eugene man, Levi Rosenthal Eva, was arrested on April 16 for the murder of 24-year-old Bryon Jivan Fitzgerald, also of Eugene, following a March 3 incident near E. 23rd Avenue and Willamette Street. The Eugene Police Violent Crimes Unit charged Eva with first- and second-degree murder, first-degree assault, first-degree robbery, and unlawful use of a weapon. He is currently held at Lane County Jail.

Detectives executed a search warrant at a south Eugene residence on April 16 as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities are seeking additional information from the public and ask anyone with details to contact Detective Cooper at tcooper@eugene-or.gov or 541-682-5187, referencing case number 25-03498.
